We also like to stop visiting American tourists and pose as "wallet inspectors", so it all evens out. ;-)

They almost kicked me out of Canada for trying to evade the draft or something. Really, they got all upset because I was prior military service and driving a van. (A van I rented in USA to move from Canada back to the US)

This van wasn't loaded with fertilizer and gasloline or whatever was it? :-)

Yeah, the border cops seized some materials destined for a sex shop a number of years ago, I think it was prose lesbian erotica. Oh no!

When the G7 (G8?) conference was here in Toronto last year, the provincial government basicall instituted temporary martial law around some public spaces - if you were arrested, you were guilty no trial required.  see http://www.680news.com/news/national/article/70586--secret-law-passed-by-ontario-government-gives-police-special-powers-during-g8-20

Yup, freedom in Canada!

Personal freedom goes out the window when the bankers and their cronies get together.  We've seen the same sort of thing in London.
Years ago, Knockabout Comics, publishers and shop, were hauled before the courts for bringing in Robert Crumb material and had all the books confiscated.
