Richard, somewhere in the mess that is an external hard drive, I have a Black Shadow book but I'm sure it was from the 60's and seemed a bit "new".  Perhaps El Supremo will have an opinion.  Over to you, Mark.
I wonder if your copy came from here:-

Actually I found the comic on Filecrop whilst deep into Mexican movies with Enmascaderos as the center theme, so I just happen to stumble upon this Mediafire download. I looked for a date as I cleaned up the scans but could not find one. If it is from the 1960's and cannot be used so be it. At lease I have it for my own collection. I tried, sorry guys!

RB @ work at last!

By-the-way

Thanks for the site.... I see the Black Shadow book there plus a whole bunch of other books there. Very cool. Thank you for the link. I have been doing so much with the Movies of the 1950's through the late 1970's with the masked luchador's cataloging them for my Media Section. It is very facinating almost on a level with Turkish cinma only less so. It is a deep hole with lots of movies (Santo alone has 40 plus movies and Blue Demon clocks in around 10 or so) with these masked characters. The Black Shadow is an interesting character in the fact that he went Mask to Mask and lost (To Santo) who was then unmasked and could no longer wrestle as a mask, but, this was actually a benefit to him because of his good looks got him movie parts in the wrestling movies and he even ended up with a new masked identity (in the movies only) as El Senor Tormenta. The Black Shadow was the Blue Demons partner in Wrestling and Santo unmasking him created bad blood between the Blue Demon and Santo that would last a lifetime.
