I've searched here and elsewhere, but haven't found anything.

Does anyone know if the Nights of Horror and similar series by Malcla is in the public domain?

I guess these are more illustrated stories than comics, but the comic tie-in is strong with Joe Shuster as the illustrator.

They were published in the 50s, but there's some gray area if the rights to the illustrations reverted to Shuster's estate or not (if ever), or if the works were ever renewed.
