Unleashed From The Phabox Vault.
« on: June 15, 2008, 01:48:58 PM »

Getting a bit jealous here seeing Darkmark, Cimm, Lofty and others with there very own threads so I thought it time that I  also got into the act.

Might even help me keep track of what i'm doing myself !

I Think that all my scanned issues of Police Comics and Plastic Man have now been added to the site, I still have an unscanned copy of Plastic Man_064 but doubt there's much demand for this issue as we already have it here in fiche and it was only a reprint book in any case so I plan to move on to other things for now.

First off I have now 'greenlighted' my scans of Crack Comics_047 so with any luck they will be showing up here shortly via our good friend Dan.

Just recently finished scanning the first post Tiger Girl issue of Fight Comics, this will be coming to  a 'Yahoo Group Near You' next month I believe before making its way over here.

Spinning off from that will be a NEW 'Archive Collection' that I am putting together along with a fellow member of this site spotlighting possibly the most obscure Fiction House character EVER !

We are still putting the 'finishing touches' on this project right now but I hope this site will be able to host it once its done so WATCH THIS SPACE !

Coming right bang up to date i've just started on a c2c scan of a paper copy of Sparkling Stars_009 February 1945 from the 'Holyoke' stable, this will be turning up here in due course.

So Back to Work !

I love all Quality comics, and personally applaud Crack #47.  Captain Triumph was a favorite.  I'd love to see Plas 64.  I find most of DarkMark's fiche scans too blurry for these old eyes to read.

I have to admit that with this being an 'all-reprint' book I did'nt think it worth the effort but upon checking I note that the site has only ONE of the four stories from this issue in its original form ( Woozy in The Skating Contest from Plas_034) so maybe its time for a re-think on this book.

The other three stories are from Plastic Man issues # 024, 025, and 036 all of which we are missing right now.

So since you asked so nicely and are one of our 'main men' here I'll dig it out and stick it under the scanner once I've finished Sparkling Stars_009 ( unless the three original books suddenly show up) - Hows that for service ?

Sorry about that.   Since finding a new setting on Photoshop, I think they've been improving.  Try Kid Eternity #3 and see what you think.

Ok, Nigel, you got it!  Your Crack Comics scans await transfer to the main site.  Glad I could help!

I saw your request elsewhere for someone to upload your PAPERscans of Plastic Man 64 to the ftp Nigel, so I took the liberty to do just that!  I'm sure they'll be moved to the main site shortly for everyone's enjoyment.  I truly wish I still had my copy, bought off the rack back in '56, but it went the way of most of the old collection, and the coins it generated spent long ago.

Just 'gone public' with my scans of Speed Comics_041 from Harvey so expect it here anytime and thrill to the exploits of Captain Freedom, Shook Gibson, and Pat Parker and her Girl Comandos ( slightly easier on the eyes than their DC counterparts !)

This is one of a pair of coverless books that I picked up from Ebay a little while back, the other being Jungle Comics_029 from Fiction House which will be showing up here next month.

My Thanks to Yoc for helping fill a couple of gaps on these two comics.

Always happy to see another issue of Speed Comics up on the site. To be sure, there can never be enough of Captain Freedom and Shock Gibson, as far as I'm concerned. Thanks Phabox.  :)
