hello all. i'm new to the site and i'm not exactly clear on how to use the comics. i have both icomic and comic viewer (via the cydia installer) on my iphone. i would like to know how to download a zipped comic file to my desktop so i can ssh it into the iphone. can someone help please?

I would imagine (though I don't know your system setup) that, when you click on a download link, the browser should ask you what to do with the file.  Tell it to download (or save), and set the location (probably in the upper part of the pop-up window, just like using a word processor) as your desktop, if that's where you want it.

Or do you mean something entirely different?

the iphone has two applications for viewing comics. one is icomic and the other is comic viewer. wheni download a link from this site and transfer it into my iphone, all i get is a single cover page and not a comic. is that all i should be seeing?

i guess i'm just not sure what options i have to view these files on my iphone

I wish I could help you, but I really don't know about the iPhone applications.  I would check the application notes, it may have some information on turning the pages.  The comics on the site are generally complete unless otherwise noted; you definitely should be seeing more than the cover.

Ah.  So the transfers are working, which is a good start.

With a little bit of luck (I don't have an iPhone, so I'm flying blind like everybody else), I managed to turn up this description:
