What was Siegel thinking? Surely Jon Juan, with or without the Code, was never likely to become a lasting strip. Nice artwork though.

Not to be anti-intellectual, but it sometimes confounds me why certain comic books like JON JUAN attract critical argument against their existence.

Maybe it's true that JON JUAN should not exist, but a comic book character created by Jerry Siegel in a comic book with interior artwork by Alex Schomburg (rather than just the cover) is something of a minor miracle and it makes me very happy that it does exist.
