two-color comics?
« on: June 16, 2018, 12:47:32 AM »

Hi everybody,

Was just wondering if there is such a thing as two-color comics, or whether there is another name. I was watching a documentary and the lady clearly said there are three kinds: black and white, a second type that was inaudible but the page shown was red and black, and the third was four-color.

If someone could help me out with the name of red and black comics, I would appreciate it.

Yes there are, or were, 2 colour comics and this is one of them:-

A lot of 2 colour comics were British,as it was much cheaper to print and was quite exotic at the time, way back, when a lot of comics and storypapers were b&w inside a colour cover.
I'm sure we have some more but I'm a bit occupied with compilations at the moment.  Have a look in the UK section:-

But you might not come up with much.

I've obviously been processing your query 'cos this morning I realised that you should have a look at this section:-

You're looking for Roy Carson and a couple of the Swift Morgan stories. Also some of the Buffalo Bill listings.
Please let us know how you get on.
