Fawcett and public domain
« on: September 12, 2018, 02:28:09 AM »

Over the last couple years, Gwandanaland Comics has come out with a few hardcover reprints of Captain Marvel stories from Fawcett, believing they were in the public domain. Recently they decided to withdraw their Marvel/Fawcett titles because of "legalities" (meaning the might NOT be in public domain). These titles include Captain Marvel Adventures and Whiz Comics and possibly Master Comics and Wow Comics.

Will this "legal" concern affect the use of these Fawcett titles on comicbooksplus?

Go here to see what Gwandanaland Comics just wrote about this:

It does appear that some of the later issues of Whiz and Captain Marvel Jr. were renewed but not many others

Heck yeah. Especially, if all Fawcett, Whiz, and any other antique publishers of CC Beck art works of Captain Marvel and Billy Bateson comic book characters have been unavailable to view and read in here.?

Unfortunately, we're not even allowed to have "Hoppy (The Marvel Bunny)" on this website.

I hope you don't have to take down all the Captain Marvel comics. I've just started enjoying them.
