Thanks Paw!
That was interesting for sure.

Buddy Saunders is a name I know from my digging into our hobby's past for the Historical Photos Project I've revived and been running over on DCM's forums since last April.  627 pics and counting so far!

Buddy was an early comic seller starting in 1961 as one of the first mail-order dealers who went on to start his Lone Star Comics store (1977-2013) before he went all online with his mycomicshop.com site.  He was also involved in the fanzines of the 60s.  I've read he was a well liked person.

I talk about him and other mail-order dealers in this topic:

Saunders also co-edited the pioneering stripzine Star-Studded Comics, which printed my very first published comics work.

Cool!
I've heard of Star-Studded Comics but never seen any.  When I came along when the Comic Reader and the Hembeck volumes were pretty common.

I have one issue of Star Studded. I think it was mispriced because I picked it up for a song. Not complaining.
