So pleased to come across another Lesley Shane – I have a script mapped out if anyone’s interested in a revival. This story must have seemed exotic in the days when only the wealthier set went to Spain for a holiday. Although I condemn the activity, it was interesting to learn so much about bullfighting from this – an enacted tragedy was an intriguing way to put it – I developed a respect for the culture and history of the corrida from reading this - though I must still condemn the practice. How do others feel? I speak Spanish but I picked up some new vocabulary. Gosh! Lesley Shane – so educational!

On top of all that – there’s the usual cracking mystery within a mystery here that only a supersleuth like Lesley could solve. Terrific ending too - Simply Magic!
