Saw this highlighted by the ever-reliable Paw a couple of days ago and have been meaning to read it ever since – time beat me (if only I had a stasis-time gun that could freeze time, or perhaps a clone of myself who could read the magazine in my place and send the images by telepathy)
So, first up it’s the Black Terror and his non-identical, non-related twin, who make up The Terror Twins. Watch as they battle a fake yogi of unbearable predictions. I like the idea of the Spectre of Death being a real creature racing to its next victim – a neat touch.
But for me, the highlight of this book is Judy of the Jungle. I’m just a sucker for red-headed velveteen-clad jungle gals, I guess. This origin story gets off to a good start with Judy teaming up with a fresh government agent to take on some teutonic trappers.
Of course, Roger (the) Dodger has a special place in the hearts of the British, but his American namesake here provides some laughs as Roger’s sartorial style takes a beating before he gives one of his own
