Hello there! I came looking for this issue because I was interested in the stories featuring Dave Dean. However, I noticed that The Loot of the Bengal Sea was missing the beginning. Is there a particular reason for this? Do you know where I can find this part of the story?

Yes, there is a reason, the copy scanned is missing 8 pages.

No, you can't find that part of the story, short of buying the comic with the 8 missing pages intact. Of course, given the prices, it would probably have to be missing the cover spread at least.
