What's up with Charlton comics?
« on: January 11, 2010, 12:54:39 AM »

To my surprise I happened to notice that I had two Charlton comics that might qualify for scanning and uploading... Fightin' Air Force #9 and Submarine Attack V.2 #19... not that anyone might be interested in those two, but hey, you never know. :)   But I see that there's a notice that you guys aren't accepting new Charlton scans.  Is that notice current?

Charltons are very welcome. The note only refers to adding titles not listed not issues to titles there. Both Fight'n Air Force and Sub Attack are fine

If I had to guess, the problem with Charlton is that a LOT of their output is licensed, which is a pain, and what people expect as "the good stuff" is post-Golden Age, by any definition.

If the titles already have issues on the site then you are likely Ok.
Also make sure they were not printed after the end of 1959.
If they are still Ok please upload to a site like Mediafire.com and post the link here so Narf or myself can add them to the site.

Mediafire?... I'll see what I can do Yoc.  :)

Btw, how come we just can't upload them to a temp directory on gac?

Edit: Never mind the uploading question... I read your post in the other thread.  :)

Thanks Dru.
Yes, until the login problem is fixed the 'Upload File' link on the site is not working, sorta.
For now only Narfstar and myself can add books to the site so all uploads have to go through us.
Fingers crossed that can be fixed someday.

I've asked Narf to get your two onto the site.  I'm maxed out right now.
