Recent comments about Charlton comics reminded me of an excellent article in Comic Book Artist. Jon Cooke and Christopher Irving wrote a fascinating article on the history of this simultaneously interesting and awful company. The article is available online and is a must read for Charlton fans.

That's informative.  I suppose it's a bit of a love/hate affair for many of us re. Charlton. I find there's just something appealing about the bad production values contrasted with the sheer quality of some of the work in their books.
