Climate change! Topical, to say the least – man-made too! On page 41, the delightful Mercurian queen, Fiera, provides an interesting description of marginal planetary spaces and what they could mean – for example, on Mercury, where one side permanently faces the sun, there will be a small channel around the rim where the temperature is consistent with Earth. Marginal spaces also exist inside a planet – dig down a few hundred feet from the surface of Mars, for example, and the Earth-like temperature could make caverns at that level easier to terraform than the surface – there may already be life there – of a sort.
Irrational genius Dedekind has created a huge device on Mercury to dim the effects of the Sun and create an ice age on Earth – can Rick save the planet once again?
