This was a great read – thanks to AA and Panther for highlighting it. Harry Harrison’s Hounds of Hell had echoes of the Wild Hunt, an essential part of the Celtic pagan mythos also found in Norse legends – stirring and eerie stuff.

The Monster takes us to Serbia and the vampire-like Kald. I’ve not come across that word before – is there anyone from Serbia out there who could tell us more of this creature?

On to Egypt and the beautifully drawn Curse of the Tomb – some sceptics may soon discover the veracity of the pharoah’s curse for themselves (heh heh)

Finally, a distressed blonde in a red dress launches us into Sacrifice, a disturbing tale of ancient druids and vengeful gods with the intriguingly names James Beltane.
