The statement on the first page of Space Suds is eerily prescient:

“Man is a fighting animal….Give man a sense of urgency, something that has to be done to save his fellow man…He will fight this situation, be it a flood, an earthquake, AN UNKNOWN DISEASE, or even an invasion from Mars.”
