I first came across Octobriana in Bryan Talbot's The Adventures of Luther Arkwright decades ago and have been a fan ever since - as indeed were David Bowie and Billy Idol (still is, I hope)

Her origins are as adventurous and mysterious as any of her plots and it's amazing to think that as a character she's in the public domain - a people's Wonder Woman. What's surprising is that so little has been produced over the years - but maybe that's a factor of big companies owning the production and distribution process until now. That could be changing with the growth of self-publishing and distribution with upfront funding found through collective crowdstarter campaigns. It's a brilliant way of testing the market before committing the resources.
