Though the board seems to recognize my name and password it will not allow either an upload or download. Is this happening to anyone else?

Newbie's are limited to 20 downloads a month. I'm not sure if uploading is affected by Newbie status as well. Other than that, there has been some problems with the site resetting people for downloads.

I had not downloaded much for the last few months, and when I tried recently I could get nothing but ERROR messages.

Hope it clears up soon, While I still have many files I haven't read yet, there are titles I want to explore.

You were reset and show as 200meg and 20 files good to go Captain and you show OK ripjarvis

Still no joy, but it may be a software conflict on this end.
For some reason a document sent in open office format refused to open.
My anti-spyware may be interfering with downloads, its been balky for the last few months.

I'll try a few fixes and let you know if I have any success.
