Sorry to hear of the passing of Joltin' Joe aged ninety-three.

I preferred DC to Marvel as a kid but when I did dip into the other brand, it was normally to check out the Fantastic Four - the style seemed brighter and less cluttered somehow than a lot of other Marvel stuff and the plots comprehensible without hundreds of cross-references to other Marvel mags.

Yes, he was one of Jack Kirby's best inkers. Really added something.
I've often wondered how it felt to no longer pencil and just be an inker?
