I get a chuckle out of the masthead admonitions to share the paper with others, like this issue's "The youth you spoke to at the cricket club wants this paper. Give it to him." Or the convoluted headline on issue 8, "You have not a single friend who would not like to see this paper." Sharing is good for developing brand recognition, but depresses circulation. Every few issues they should have run something like, "Your chum Jack wants to see this paper. Tell him to buy his own copy!"
