Black Superman

Is Dean Cain getting above himself with his comment, "These days, I wouldn't be able to say Truth, Justice and the American Way"? (Hah! Cain  - the name says it all)

Is it time for a Black (or more broadly BAME) Superman (or Trans maybe, whatever you think)? Are all Kryptonians white - I don't recall? Perhaps we should just burn all those Superman comics anyway - to be on the safe side.

Some of the above is satire - I'll leave you to sort out what.

have a look at these excerpts from the Luke Cage TV show,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHckszP0cWs

Luke Cage Best Moments

Take away the level of violence and he reminds me a lot of George Reeve's Superman.

In Grant Morrisons' Multiversity series he introduced a Black Superman who was also the president of the US in his universe.
This guy.

So,
been there, done that. But I have a feeling the idea is about to be revisited.

Welllllll, there are already other versions of Superman, Turkish; Indian. And I'm sure but just can't find the movie right now, a Bangla Superman.
I had to look up Dean Cain 'cos I'm not up on modern actors, but I realise I have seen him in a film.
Can't stand Morrison's stuff.  No apologies from me.

I wonder if the Indian film you mention is the Tollywood movie "Superman" (1980) with an aging NT Rao as the man in blue?

https://www.silveremulsion.com/2013/05/31/superman-1980/

NT Rao was also a politician and Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh - that's a province with a population of about 100 million - more than Britain and Scandinavia combined - can you imagine, having Superman as your Prime Minister - but like Canute (or Knut), he couldn't turn back the tides of time and died in 1996 aged 72.

You can watch the whole movie here:

(You'll believe a man can ride an elephant)

The Bangla (Dhallywood) movie you refer to might be Danny (or Dany) Sidak in Super Man. You can watch that here:

(You'll believe a man can dance - well, sort of - check out 1:22:30. At least, there are some very attractive dancing girls to distract you from the wafer thin plot)

Danny also played the role of Tarzan in a movie - so he and Ron Ely could buddy up.

Nor should we forget the Bollywood Superman movie (1987) with Puneet Issar:
