Always drawn to anything Chan related, this was a real joy when it popped up on Random 12. “As dawn’s early light, Chan bring wisdom and grace”
Beautifully constructed tales backed by wonderful art.

The first story – Silent Witness – includes Paris in the spring, a ventriloquist’s dummy (always makes me shiver), a genuine truth drug of the day – harmaline – possibly the first use of a bar code in comic book history and a villain named Tony Stark!

The second could pass as a Sergio Leone western crossed with a Rene Cardona movie with treasure maps, poisoned arrows, Aztec mummies (sort of) and a talking stone god. Then there’s Trick Ending with a carnival, magician (sort of) and Birmingham not as spooked as always – oh, and a trick ending.
