Happy 115th annivesary to Al who left us far too soon at the age of sixty-three in 1969.

Not much to add to what was stated by my friends at Lambiek, detailing Taliasferro's time as inker for Floyd Gottfredson's "Mickey Mouse" newspaper strip, and penciler and inker of Disney's "Silly Symphonies" newspaper strip from 1929 through 1936, and handling all aspects of the  "Donald Duck" newspaper strip from 1937 through 1975,......

.....except to add that Taliaferro, other than drawing a few Disney character stories and magazine covers for Western Publishing's Disney Comics, also drew two comic book stories for Ben Sangor's West Coast Studio during the mid 1940s.  The character was Pop Korn, seemingly a goose, who was a farmer.  They appear in Nedor Publishing's Coo Coo Comics Numbers 20 and 28 (from 1945 and 1946).  Luckily for us, Coo Coo Comics are PD, and both comic books are available for reading on this website in the Better/Nedor/Standard Comics publisher section.  The artwork looks, in style, as if it were taken directly out of Taliaferro's "Donald Duck" strip.
