I have 'Capt. Science' discovered today and I am very impressed, the trivial happiness in its highest perfection. :-) BTW, why do all superheroes have the title 'Capt.', why not 'General'? And why do all super villains have PhDs? Can I call me Capt. Comickraut, or better yet Dr. Comickraut? Question after question . . . ;-)

Super villains need to know a LOT about science, to be able to find ways to foil Superheroes!
But, somehow, I doubt very much that ALL evil villain Doctors have PHDs.  Some of them, who experimented on victims, were probably also Medical Doctors.

So, you, Comickraut, could become Dr. Comickraut, by earning a PHD in "Comicology"!!!

Probably because in war Captain was the highest rank that usually got involved in actual battles, while Generals were safely back at headquarters.

I think Robb's right about why Captains were favored. Also the word is two syllables and scans easier than Jen-uh-rul. Have you noticed that "Major" and "General" characters are usually puns? Major Mynah, General Disaster, Major Payne. Though we mustn't forget Private Paartz.

Thanks for the information and explanations. Getting a PhD in 'Comicology' would be the greatest happiness, I can imagine. I think, Robb would be the examiner for the anthropomorphic-funny animals comics exam. :D

There are also a few Majors. You are right about the puns tho.
