Today, we celebrate the 90th birthday of Asterix-lookalike Jean-Claude Forest, the creator of Barbarella:

Jean-Claude left us in 1998 but Barbarella lives on - most recently in a Dynamite revival:

I've always enjoyed the free-form sci-fi imagery of Babs - I even enjoyed the movie, though it's best seen as a combination of stand-alone episodes:

Hopefully, one day there will be a Babs TV series - though sadly it might be seen to conflict with the modern cultural vibes and culture and be cancelled before it's begun

This is a nice occasion to watch the film again. Fortunately, I have the Barbarella comic books too.
