Please, builderboy, by all means have it.  That will be a nice comic scan when it's all cropped and polished--it certainly deserves more than I can give it.

Thanks for your help.

Now added:

Zoo Funnies vol. 1 #2
Zoo Funnies vol. 1 #3
Zoo Funnies vol. 1 #4
Zoo Funnies vol. 1 #5
Zoo Funnies vol. 1 #9
Zoo Funnies vol. 1 #11
Zoo Funnies vol. 1 #12
Zoo Funnies vol. 1 #13
Zoo Funnies vol. 1 #14
Zoo Funnies vol. 1 #15

#2-9 are 52 pages, 11-15 are 36 pages.  All JVJ, all c2c.

I forgot that we had complete scans of #3 and #5 on the site already, and I don't know the policy on duplicate scans.  The new scans do have the JVJ info cards.

The file on the site labeled vol. 1 #1 is actually from vol. 2, the 1953 series; that should probably be fixed.
So the first series still lacks issues 1, 6, 7, 8, and 10.  A #1 just showed up on eBay for $79.99 if anybody's feeling flush.   :)

Just added:
Pictorial Love Stories #23

36 pages, c2c, from the JVJ collection.

These Charlton artists don't seem to be entirely clear on the difference between a romance comic and a crime comic.  See: Carter's Case Book.  It's a crime comic because the heroine takes out her young man's rival with a .38; it's a romance comic because she then faints.

Catharine (sic) Carter is quite a piece of work as an advice-to-the-lovelorn columnist; I don't quite recall Mary Worth ever telling the lovelorn, "Don't let him kill Jim, Sally! You have a gun--use it!"

Just added: Pictorial Love Stories #24.
36 pages, c2c, from the JVJ collection.

Murders: 1
Machine-gunning of criminal (not murder): 1
Self-inflicted gunshot wounds: 1
Gunshot wounds, not self-inflicted: 1
Physical abuse of women: 2
Unwanted physical contact of women: 3
Fistfights: 2
Verbal threats of physical violence: 13

It's romance, Charlton-style.

The final issue in the series brings you more action-packed romance in the Pictorial Love Stories tradition!

Plane crashes (no serious injuries): 1
Boxing matches over women: 1
Punches thrown (excluding boxing matches): 2
Jujitsu throws: 2
Face slaps: 1
Verbal threats: 5
Guns pulled by kindly matrons: 1

Why this book didn't catch on I'll never know.

From Catechetical Guild, publishers of the long-lived Catholic-themed educational comic Treasure Chest, a copy of their obscure other series, Topix, aka Timeless Topix:

Topix v5 #4, Dec., 1947.
52 pages, c2c.

First off, you are asking for help in an upload thread...what's up with that?  ??? ??? ???

Secondly, you've been dealing with this for a month and just now said something?!!!  :o :o :o

Please, don't do that again. We're around so much that all you have to do is ask and we can deal with these things.

You are now reset for downloading.

If you need anything else, please, do not wait for a month to ask, and please ask in the help section.

We try to make this as easy as possible. An upload thread just isn't the place to ask, especially when we have a help section. You've been a member for a while now, I certainly hope that you didn't feel (or know) that you could contact us in the help area or even send us a message to help you out.

Just added to the Charlton section:

Yellowjacket Comics #2.  Still missing the 4 centerfold leaves, but with 11 new pages and JVJ info added.

Yellowjacket Comics #3. A c2c scan of a JVJ comic.

Yellowjacket Comics #6. A c2c paper scan of a JVJ comic, replacing the fiche version.

I believe that means that we now have c2c paper scans of the entire Yellowjacket run except for those centerfolds in #2.

Just added to the Charlton section:

Zoo Funnies v1 #1 (101)
Says #101 on cover.  Whether this represents an attempt at creativity in numbering or a misunderstanding of existing comic-book numbering conventions is unclear.  This is in fact the first of the series, even though the indicia for #1 of the 1953 series also says, Vol. 1, no.1.

Cowboy Western #17 (begins the series; numbering continues from Jack in the Box)
Cowboy Western #18
Cowboy Western #19 JVJ
Cowboy Western #20 JVJ
Cowboy Western #21
Cowboy Western #22 JVJ
Cowboy Western #23 JVJ
Cowboy Western #24 JVJ
Cowboy Western #25 JVJ
Cowboy Western #27 JVJ
Cowboy Western #28 JVJ
Cowboy Western #29
Cowboy Western #32 JVJ
Cowboy Western #36 JVJ
Cowboy Western #37
Cowboy Western #38 JVJ
Cowboy Western #39 JVJ

#39 ends the 1948 series, which (if I have this all straight) becomes Space Western :o for #40-45, goes back to Cowboy Western for #46, then Cowboy Western Heroes for #47, and finally Cowboy Western again for #48-67.  As with everything else, Charlton certainly knew how to get their money's worth out of a second-class mailing license.

Big thanks to the incomparable JVJ for making these comics available.
