Re the last story in the book, It remimded me. back in the mid-6o's when stereo and High volume[Loud] hi-fi had just become a consumer item. We had a neighbour who, lets say, wasn't very neighbourly. Used to drive our fathers crazy. there were three houses. My friend lived on the left, the neighbour in the middle and our house was on the right.
We had Albums of sound effects - which were also all the rage, to test out your stereo. We rigged up our stereos - in both houses - and one night about 9:00 pm he heard a train drive right through his house!.
