Has anyone put together a complete checklist of all known comics still missing from the site?

Perhaps, but not and published it here no.

Dan Stevenson has probably the most extensive list of all U.S. comics published, but I'm not sure if it's accessible on line.

How about a list of those issues missing from all the various series that we've got issues of so far?  That would at least be a start.
