new Fox Feature comic
« on: January 27, 2007, 08:31:39 AM »

I am uploading right now the following FOX FEATURE comic by ftp:

Mistery Men  12   1940

I could not find this comic listed in the site.
By the way I  have noticed that both Blue Beetle  13 and 27 listed in the unsorted section should be moved to the Fox Feature section.

Are you sure the Blue Beetles should go in the Fox section? l dumped them in the unsorted section because they were printed by Holyoke pulishing not Fox, even though they are classed as the same series and l have not had time to work out what the connection was between the companies. l actually know nothing of Mistery Men, so l would presume it was Mystery Men Comics 12, l will have to check the scan before aproving it though to make sure it is not watermarked

I have been thinking about this issue myself. Take "The Clock" for instance -- what an awesome character. He appeared in Detective Picture Stories from Centuar, Feature Funnies (aka Feature Comics)from Comic Favorites/Comic Magazines/Quality, and Crack Comics from Comic Magazines/Quality...get the picture? What a mess to keep track of, and of course, I am positive that I do not even have the complete publishing picture for The Clock.

I have no idea how you would address the same situations with Blue Beetle -- you know, now that I am really thinking about it,  a peak at Howard Keltner's Golden Age Comic Books Index: 1935 - 1955 might help unravel Blue Beetle's or The Clock's publication journey.

I wish someone would upload Mr. Keltner's index it to the site -- it is absolutely invaluable for the Golden Age fan.

Regardless, my continued thanks to Serj and crew, and I await the next batch of comics to go live.

Hi B, here is a direct link to the Keltner Index as stored on the Two Morrow site:
http://www.twomorrows.com/alterego/media/Golden%20Age%20Index.pdf

Note it is a PDF and you will need the Acrobat Reader for this folks.
