« on: March 02, 2008, 02:56:38 PM »

As the old topic is down, I create this one for the same purpose - to gather some kind of exhautive PD characters database.

Links given so far:

http://www.comicbookdb.com/team.php?ID=892

http://www1.freewebs.com/publicdomainheroes/index.htm

http://goldenageheroroundup.blogspot.com/2006/09/every-hero-youve-never-heard-of-plus.html

http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/g/goldenag.htm

Still looking for useful informations, so thanks in advance if you can add some.

I really like this link also:
http://www.dpccomics.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/theamericancomicshop/goldenagedatabase/

It doesn't tell you if the characters are public domain or not, but there is a lot of good info (first appearances, original publishers, brief bios) and micro-heroes to give you an idea of what their costumes looked like.

Don Markstein's Toonopedia also has a lot of good info, but also neglects to tell you if a character is PD or not.

Good link! For PD characters, once you know which publishers have characters lapsed into public domain, it becomes easier to sort. Thanks a lot!
