Hi CB+ staff and members.
Wonderful to be welcomed back to the new 'GAC'.
Some will not know my history with the old site but it was rocky.  I'm thrilled to see it back, rebranded and moving forward.

Welcome back!!!! And also welcome to all the bugs that I have created and am swatting. The site has a long way to go before it is stable.

Even though you were a "newbie" here, which made me chuckle, I think I have managed to make you a VIP and also a member of the JVJ Project.

That is all providing that you don't start spamming   and also help my push to make all archives .cbz's rather than .cbr's

Thanks for bumping up my status here Mark.
BTW, if you are pushing people to upload CBZ files please make a note of that somewhere very large and bold to alert uploaders.  Perhaps on the Upload Page form. 
They'll have to of course recreate the cbz files from scratch as just renaming them is not enough. 
A lot of the fixed files on DCM are the result of misnamed file types.  And you'll likely find the same problem with the same files here on CB+ as we share a large number of the same early files.  It buggered our Preview feature which can't handle misnamed file types.  If it's important to your system all the Fixed versions on DCM are true to their file type when downloading.

btw - I can freely promise no spam will cross these fingers.

Just offhand looking shows that the errors of the preview function not working might not be a problem here for the 'Comic book live'. However, the page order problems do exist.

Beat you to it I had just a message on the new upload page before I read yours!

It's just PHP which is on pretty much every server has a ZIP object that with just a handful of lines you can deal with an archive, I doesn't have an equivalent RAR so it all gets very clunky shelling out etc. (which was working fine for me but something has happened server side that stopped this I am investigating  at the moment. I am not relying on the extension ... I check to see if it is a valid ZIP and if not assume it is a RAR (and then deal with if it is an invalid archive).

Ask CaptDJ his opinion I bet a pint he agrees ZIP=Good RAR=Bad

Anyway I am just mulling over an idea I have had which could be a massive project for us.

I converted two of fetts recent DCM Charlton uploads from cbr to cbz and uploaded them here. I will watch and convert before bringing them over.

Thanks for the welcome Jose.   
I stopped uploading rar/cbr files a couple years ago.  They do seem more trouble than they are worth.
