All Good Comics (1944)?
« on: May 10, 2012, 04:06:06 PM »

Hi all. Not sure if I should post this here, or in the "help" section.

I recently scanned my 1944 issue of Fox's "All Good Comics" anthology and uploaded a copy over at the DCM site. I tried uploading it here as well, but the web upload page gave me an error message saying that the file exceeded the maximum size limit. It's a 128 page book, so it is a large file: 89.7 MB (a.k.a. 94,137,689 bytes).

So, my question is whether it would be better to just split the file and post it in two sections through the web uploader, or if I could bypass the file size limits by using the FTP. (And if so, has the login & password changed? I only used it once before, back in the GAC days.) Thanks in advance!

Instead of splitting the book up, I went ahead and uploaded the complete file to the FTP site. All paper scans, full color and all 128 interior pages complete (except for the missing back cover).

Now that I've got that 128-page giant out of the way, I think the next book I'm going to try scanning will be a Silver Age Charlton book. Nice and short!

Thanks Kevin.  Glad you finally got it uploaded.

Looking forward to your next, smaller upload.
