The Captain Future compilation was missing various pages - and I can't figure out why - and thanks to eagle-eyed K1ngcat noticing the errors, I've deleted it and scanned a new version with all the pages.  As they were done from old photocopies, I can only assume some fell out of the old paper folder I had.  With luck, this new version is o.k. :-[

Also, a new section in Spanish comics.  This time, Diamante Negro which is a one tier high landscape comic.  This time I know the scanners but haven't a scooby who published it.  So, if anyone can help?

For all you Spanish comics fans, another new section.  This time, El Pirata Cobra Blanca, a rather tasty 12 page landscape comic with lots of pirate action.  Find issues 1 - 12 here:-

I've uploaded a few things recently but forgot to post about them.  As I've forgotten the first couple of items, all I can tell you about are today's 3.  Bubbels is an old British weekly for younger readers in the British section.  In the French section, an issue of Lisette, more prose than comics and a Pic & Nic landscape comic.

A really obscure Italian landscape comic today from 1939.  Lo Sciabecco Fantasma was drawn by Cossio. Published in Milan.
I put this file together from individual pages found on a site quite a while ago and only recently got around to finalising it and uploading:-

N. African pirates, a masked corsair, sword fights, sea battles.  What a lot of action in such a wee comic!

At long last I found another issue of Space Commander Kerry.  I scanned this from a facsimile copy that I bought recently. So I've made a new section for the title in L. Miller.
Mick Anglo.
Lots of it makes no sense, particularly the first story.  Enjoy, if you can!

A new set of compilations today.  This might not interest many of you, but I've been looking into early Spanish hero/villain pulps recently and have put together covers and interior illos. from a few titles.  (Although I have a feeling that "S" was in an early Spanish comic).
Interestingly with El Encapuchado, we already have his later incarnation as a comic on site.  The previous version in the pulps featured 2 masked, costumed female characters and I leave you to discover them on your own.
No knowledge of Spanish required for enjoying these files but I hope this might encourage some of our Spanish members to seek out more of these wee gems.

It's hard to tell from the covers whether El Encapuchado is supposed to be a good guy or a bad-but-slightly-good guy like Diabolik.

Another new Dutch language section, this time featuring De Schaduw - yet another beeldroman or beeldverhaal.  i.e. a small, cigarette packet sized comic with one illo per page. I've been looking for this and some other titles in this format for a while and now some luck.  Dating from somewhere between 1945 and 1950, you can find them here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=3243
Also, a Lilliput.  One of those single tier comics that appeared in some European countries.
(There are other examples of the format on site, notably, Plutos in the Italian section - uploaded by mr_goldenage and translations by crashryan)
This one though is an issue of Raka and you can find it here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=65527
I've listed the scanner(s) as "Unknown" as I can't find any info on who did the work.  Sorry.

New section in Spanish comics.  El Hombre de la Estrella from around 1947.  Historical masked mystery man story.  Great Hood type hood.  Big sword.  Great chest emblem.  First 4 issues and with patience I might get some more from misinolvidablestebeos.
You can find them here:

After a lot of chasing around, and thanks to my friend, Glenn Miller, I finally got in touch with Dominic Regan who gave me permission to scan and upload some issues of his mid '80's ' zine, Paper Empire - later Captain Empire.  We now have Paper empire #1 & 3 and Captain Empire #1, which is really the fourth issue of the 'zine but contains only a Captain Empire story and should be read after PE #3.
Well worth checking the notes Dom printed in the 'zine, for an idea of who was about in comic fandom at the time.
Thanks to Dom, one of the nicest blokes in comics.

I'm now in a position to fill in the gap in the Pantera Rubia series and add substantially to what issues we hold on CB+.  It's taken me quite a time following odd, wee leads, but I found them and you can see them here:-

Regarding "El Corsario X," this looks more like a Spanish dime-novel than a pulp magazine. Similar in style to the old Deadwood Dick dime novels.

Yes, you're right.  I' m a bit careless about the classification.  We didn't have Dime novels here, because we didn't have dimes.  There were tons of these "Dime" novels in the UK and throughout Europe and El Corsario X is only one.  This site has more examples of Spanish chapbooks/dreadfuls or whatever you want to call them:-

Here, publisher like Newnes and others published lots of titles.  Robin Hood, Dick Turpin, Claude Duval, numerous detectives. And France was awash with them. They always have seemed to me like pulp writing, so I tend to use the term, usually with a country in front of it. ;D

Additions to the Spanish historical hero, El Hombre de la Estrella.  Great costume. We now have issues 1 - 11 having today added # 5 - ll.  Scanned by CelsoRabat and sourced from those nice people at Aquellos Inolvidables Tebeos.  This series comprises 26 issues and dates from around 1946. With any luck the rest will turn up. Fingers crossed.
