Super Duck

Hi Gang,

A newbie here, looks like a real good site.......am trying to find the issue of Super Duck, early-mid 50's, which has the episode where Super Duck comes across/acquires a set of glasses that enables him to "read the minds" of the subject that he happens to zero in on, he gets out in the street, observes several different folks, ballooned over their respective heads is whatever is on their mind at that particular moment, things like a guy in a suit thinking about $$$, a dandy thinking about gals in swim suits etc., best of all though, was the thoughts of a regular Super Duck character called "Hamburger", he was the designated Village Idiot, above his head was merely "Nuttin'..." Anyone recall that one or have on file? Many thanks.

Hello Chuck and welcome to CB+.  As to Super Duck, there were 2.  One was an MLJ/Archie  character and we seem to only have 1 issue on file, here:-https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=22011
(I'm sure someone else will check my results just to be sure)
The other was a Disney title featuring Donald as Superduck or Papernik? in Italian. If it's this Disney one you remember, you wont find it here as Disney material is not public domain. Sorry.
Apart from that, enjoy the comics - there's a lot of really good entertainment, and some strange, obscure material that might appeal. Look forward to reading your thoughts on the forum.

Paw,

Many thanks for welcome....Super Duck in this case was non-Disney (although he and most of the characters were no doubt inspired by him, Hamburger in fact was sort of a lobotomized Goofy) Overall, it wasn't as "consistantly" funny as Disney's stuff but pretty good nevertheless.....think it was part of the "Archie" comics family.

I've already gotten through most of the Avon transfers we need so I'll look over what Super Duck issues are available that we need.
