Thank you, narfstar and paw broon!
I am reading World's Finest but only the first issue of Earth 2 and I was not interested in it. It will not be the real JSA
It appears my view on World's Finest vs. Earth 2 is entirely the opposite: WF #1 convinced me that
it was the clunker of the two, and I haven't looked at that series again since.
And, again, I'll be the last one you
ever hear arguing against the classic JSA! In fact, I approached Earth 2 #1 thinking it
was going to be an instant train wreck, but found my mind changed by the time I got to the last page.
True, these aren't the characters we know, but in my opinion, the new characterizations of Terry Sloan(e), etc., are strong enough to carry this series the extra mile. On the other hand, if those pale imitations of "Power Girl" and "The Huntress" are later returned to the mix, that view may change again in a hurry.
(Memo to DC: Leave those **cough** "World's Finest" two on NuEarth, or whatever in the wide world of sports you're calling it now ... please. And even if you have to reposition the classic JSA on an "Elseworld" or something, just do it and pick up where they left off.)And now, back to more Golden Age goodness.
