Hello comic book fans
« on: February 24, 2013, 05:33:14 PM »

Hey great site!  Thanks for making this available.

However, I can't seem to find Comics on Parade Issues of Nancy and Sluggo.

I really like the style of cartooning and as an Illustrator myself have been influenced
by the style of these comics.

Any suggestions where I can find these pdf files?

Welcome to CB+ Tim.  I'll leave it to others to explain that but there are no pdf files on CB+  most are .cbz and the occasional .cbr.  You will need to download a reader for them and I use CDisplay. If you don't already have a reader, just use the on site viewer till you get yourself fixed up.

Hey thanks, I should have known.  Also I have a reader for cbz files.  So no worries.  (I don't use Windows but a version of Debian
which makes life better without the worry of viruses and the like.)

I have my own comic called Kit and Bimbo which did get published in Japan.  Though that was 20 years ago.

I do like vintage 'funny' strips using a minimum of technique -- which is why I like the Nancy and Sluggo series.

Big fan of R. Crumb but he I'm sure is not P.D. as well.

I really appreciate the site and like learning from the old masters of cartoon design.

Can't understand a word of it but it looks good. Minimalism can convey a story. Eek and Meek ran a long time and was funny.
