The Magnet 1917 (Issues 465 - 516)

Uploaded by FTP

A couple of points about this batch, from issue 470 pages reduced to 20, then from issue 486 pages reduced to 16.

Issue 488 unfortunately is missing due to the fact that the link on the site points you towards issue 489.

I have finally managed to contact site owner and have advised him of the problem with issue 488, also informed him that I am uploading to Comic Book+. Will inform you of his reply when I get it.

The Magnet - Issue 0488

Now uploaded by upload link.

Friardale Site manager corrected link and has personally no objections to uploading to CB+.

Interestingly enough he has recently joined CB+.

The Magnet

Year 1919 - Issues 569 - 620 uploaded by FTP.

Sorry I'm a bit later this time - was a bit under the weather and found sitting at the comp a bit tiring.
Things are Ok now, so I will get going with the next batch pretty soon.

Thanks Graeme and I'm glad you're back on your feet - or on your bum at the computer.
I notice there are many more .cbr/.cbz files on Friardale in the Nelson Lee section so I'm slowly getting through them.  They make a good comparison to you Greyfriars/Bunter Magnets.
Glad you made contact with Friardale.

Glad to be back up as well. Seems to be some sort of bug up this neck of the woods.

I noticed the cbz/cbr files on the Friardale site - good news.

If you need any help with the earlier PDF only files, give me a shout. I have got a fast excellent converter.

Regards
Graeme

Blimey, I saw  "Seems to be some sort of bug up this neck of the woods" and thought "****!!  what do I now have to look at on the site."

But I realized that luckily it was just you being ill, so was mightily relieved. :)

Joking aside hope you are feeling better,

Regards,

Mark

Prize Comics #7 & #8

Still cataloging and up to the Ps.

I found that I have different versions of the scans found on CB+. Whilst CB+ has the Frankenstein stories only, my copies have The Black Owl (#7) & The Black Owl & Ted O'Neil (#8), unfortunately in B&W.
Can't remember where I picked these up.
I have combined my copies & the CB+ copies (using Grand Comics Database for the correct order) and uploaded them.
Hopefully we will get complete copies one day.

Regards
Graeme

I have a more complete copy of this comic (60 pages) than the one on site (40 pages).
Now complete versions of Frankenstein, World Beater & Unggg, and Flying Fist & Bingo.

Prize Comics #39

I had no idea when I posted this who the original scanner was.
Please remove my name and credit it to Phabox, who deserves the credit for such great scans over the years.
