He's sent me scans of Capt. Midnight 61 to share with you all as his first scan!

Great scans on CM #4!

Maybe it's just me, but I always found it curious that Chuck Ramsay never became a costumed teen sidekick to Captain Midnight. Perhaps Fawcett felt like they already had that ground pretty well covered by Mr. Scarlet and Pinky (as well as Captain Marvel Junior).

Well, keep in mind that Fawcett was licensing Captain Midnight (from the radio serial producers), so the writers might not have had the authority to throw in a costumed sidekick.

(And while I'm typing, yes, these are great scans.)

Didn't Fawcett wind up giving Cap a "Sgt. Twilight" or something as at least a semi-costumed sidekick? I've never actually seen a story with him, but I could swear I read about him somewhere (All In Color For a Dime maybe?)

Thanks for the kind words! I've just submitted scans of Wow Comics 38. Great cover and one of the most copied. Stories include Mary Marvel, Phantom Eagle, Mr. Scarlett and Pinky, Commando Yank and Penny Graves. And don't forget the ads featuring Volto From Mars and Captain Tootsie!

Thanks to jcolag for that information regarding Captain Midnight. I had no idea that he was licensed from a radio serial, and that could be the reason why Chuck Ramsay didn't follow the lead of Dick Grayson, Bucky, Pinky, Dusty, Tim, Rusty, Stampy, etc as a costumed kid sidekick. As for "Sgt. Twilight," the comical alter ego of Ichabod Mudd, he actually makes an appearance in Captain Midnight #4.

Yes, Powder sent me the raw scans. I've got to do a minor tweak and they are done.
I'll add them to the site as soon as I can finish them.
