GREAT artwork on this strip! Looks kinda like an Italian or Spanish artist...or was he home-grown?

This was reprinted as "The Men from the Stars" in 1989 by Hawk Comics (an imprint of Hawk Books Limited) in The Giant Holiday Fantasy Comic Album, 288 pages 21cm by 28cm.
It also included many reprints from old Fleetway Publications weekly comics like Lion, Knockout etc. A great read.
Its nice to see Invaders From Space as it was originally published.

Sorry, missed this but Bill Lacey is one of my favourite artists and drew Blackshirt for Super Detective Library, among lots of other stuff.  Yes, he is British.  And despite claims that all the Rick Random stories were drawn by Ron turner - and that includes publicity for the Rick Random collection   - Lacey drew one of them, and very good it is too.  He just didn't do the dynamic spaceships for which Turner is rightly noted.
You can see a selection of pages and illos here:-

Thank you, Paw, for clueing me in to Bill Lacey. I'm always excited to "discover" a new artist whom I'd managed to miss over the years. Obviously Lacey had a distinguished career in British comics. Not to take anything away from Ron Turner, but I think Lacey's flying saucer and fantasy aircraft designs rank right up there with his.
