GAC's plans for World Domination of Online Public Domain Scans will include naming a small continent after archiver_USA... perhaps New Zealand. I hear it's pretty.

We may want to have one of our PD gurus verify the All Great is OK. I'm sure the comic itself is, like everything else by Fox. But if it reprints syndicated strips they may not be allowable. (Which would be a shame, it's a neat book!)

Thanks for taking the time to do the Franken-fiche copies. Much better to have Franken-fiche than the mutilated/incomplete books some folks post and then take some form of bizarre pride in, i.e. "no junk page". I wonder if those guys rip the "junk pages" out of their paper copies too?

Heh. As a kid, I actually did do that with some regularity. At the time, books would sometimes have one sheet with four ad pages, so away they'd go. That didn't last long, though, and the mirror page (with story) was annoyingly loose. Oops.

As much as we do encourage c2c scans we should also thank people for scanning these at all. Even if they are incomplete. With luck DM has fiche for them and can post a c2c version later.

Yoc, I've got no problem with someone posting the "best available copy" even if it is incomplete. I just take issue with folks that have complete books and don't post it c2c and then take the stance that they've done us all a favor by removing the ads and text pages. That and the IW/Super books not having their own section bothers me most about this site... it's a great site and I'm happy to contribute to it, there are just a couple of annoying things that bother me.

Beggars can't be choosers though A_U. GAC completely depends on generous scanners like yourself for our content and we can't turn away a scan because it's incomplete or whatever. We hope someone will have a complete version and be willing to scan just the missing pages to help us complete them.

And we'll happy update any incomplete scans for a complete one every chance we get. DM's paper+fiche books are an example. So if you know of a more complete set of scans for any incomplete books here Please do upload them.

Thanks again for your fantastic scans of some very rare and often expensive comics! We love'em!
