The artwork is by Geoff Campion. He's best known as a Western artist on AP comics. But he drew occasional historical
strips - for example, "Robin Hood" TCL No 10 and "Quo Vadis" TCL No 19.

That's excellent, mortimer.  Thanks very much.  Although I have a number of examples of Campion's work, this strip seems to be in 2 differing styles with Turpin looking like a "real" hero and the other characters almost cartoony caricatures.  This is unlike his figures in a number of western strips where they all appear to be "real".  Unfortunately, I don't have the 2 TPL issues you mention, so I'm floundering a bit.
