I scanned it on a Mac, and it archived as such. Is it possible that the Windows 8.1 is incompatible with the Mac Tiger software (old as it may be) that was used? I followed the online instructions on making this a cbz archive, and thought it worked.

neil6141, Paw Broon was right.  It's not your scans or your Tiger software that were the problem.  It was that I was using the previous version of CDisplay.  CDisplayEX works perfectly with your files (and much more quickly I might add).  I'm not sure why CDisplay worked fine for Mark.  He must have a magic machine I guess.
