I stumbled across these PD issues on the site and it got me wondering-- I know you guys don't accept DC stuff, but I guess early stuff isn't really DC because it's National Allied (pre-Donenfeld). So if you have these NEW ADVENTURE issues--does that mean earlier stuff is acceptable? I have scans of four issue of NEW COMICS that another collector passed on to me and I could pass them on to you guys, if that's acceptable. And if I can master uploading the files.

Did anyone ever answer this question? I'm writing the Major's bio and I have been attempting to get an answer to this question for over 20 years. Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
   By
Have you sent email to the "contact" page and asked your question there?
   By
Yes, I did but so far haven't heard. Will try again. I know it's a bit tricky because everyone is probably afraid of rocking the boat with DC/WB. It's disappointing that these issues are not readily available because comics history for most people begins with Action #1. Thanks for your answer!

You can tell the artists had no clue how to use the comics medium. Why draw the scene at all just to caption it Everytime? Show us the shocked expression, don't tell us
   By
Josh, "Why draw the scene at all just to caption it Every time?" This was part of the evolution of the comics medium. Many early comics strips used captions. 'Prince Valiant' was still using captions into the 199o's and if it still exists - I don't think so - would still be doing so. And yes, the captions in this book are overdone and annoying.
