NotesJoe Shuster was previously credited with co-penciling this story. According to the author of Super Weird Heroes (2016), Dick Ayers told him that Shuster would come into the studio to critique the artwork, then do a quick head sketch or an expression for the Shuster Shop artists to follow. Thus Shuster's credit is restored. The Super Weird Heroes reprint by IDW (2016) reprints only Page 1 of this story and then (accidentally) Pages 2-5 of the Kute Knockout story in this issue.

Comic StoryA Fool's Duel! (7 pages)
SynopsisLarry overhears a young woman pleading with her lover to flee the area, but he (Charles Cheval) threatens any rival of his with death if they try to make a move on Dolores as he leaves. Funnyman decides to teach the man proper American etiquette when it comes to women, and the two end up in a duel. Armed only with a wooden sword, Funnyman is no match for Cheval, who stabs the Daffy Daredevil in the heart, which is really a bag of red ink. When Dolores and her escort see this, she knocks Cheval to the ground, Funnyman slices Cheval's belt (causing his pants to fall down), and Cheval slinks off.
FeaturingFunnyman
ContentGenre: Superhero | Characters: Funnyman [Larry Davis]; Dolores (Cheval's lover, introduction); Dolores' escort (introduction); Monsieur Charles Cheval (villain, France's greatest duelist, introduction)
NotesPrior credits to Joe Shuster for penciling and John Sikela for inking. According to the author of Super Weird Heroes (2016), Dick Ayers told him that Shuster would come into the studio to critique the artwork, then do a quick head sketch or an expression for the Shuster Shop artists to follow. Thus Shuster's credit is restored.

Comic StorySlippery Slim! (9 pages)
SynopsisJune and Larry attend a "crook nabbing" lecture at City Hall by Sgt. Harrigan when it is announced that the "World's Slyest Jailbreaker", Slippery Sam, has escaped again. Funnyman and Sam duke it out, with Funnyman being knocked out by Sam, who then switches outfits with the hero and walks out of City Hall unmolested. It's only when June kisses "Funnyman" and his nose falls off that she realizes it's not the hero at all, and Funnyman eventually takes care of the fleeing felon.
