Even in scans of these old pages, I enjoyed Irv Novick's pencils and inks. The action scenes have a tremendous fluidity and it's good to see Black Hood trying to work around his weaknesses and blind spots on occasion. The plots are clearly a legacy of the pulp magazines, but well-executed for all of their familiarity. |
