Great scans. The weak grade is for the contents, which feel less horror and more "we need to fill an issue" with themes that are all over the place.

SynopsisExcited about Bartholdi's statue gifted to the United States, Joseph Pulitzer is outraged to hear its placement on Bedloe's Island is $100,000 short. He sends his reporter, Mr. Goddard, to discover what can be done about raising the necessary funding. When an appeal the the United States government fails, Pulitzer takes it upon himself to place a call for funding in his newspapers. The campaign is more than successful, largely in part to donations from school children. Triumphantly, Pulitzer invites the congressmen from Washington for the celebration.
