Steve and Marlene are injured so Elaine goes for help but Marlene dies before rescuers arrive. Elaine blames herself but after psychiatric treatment, she realizes it wasn’t her fault. Even though she wished her rival ill, she couldn't have saved her. Steve says he has always loved Elaine and wants to marry her. |
