Great cover, really fun book, This book was somewhat psychedelic 1939 style and I remembered watching the Wizard of Oz when I was in Grammer school, same sort of feeling. This book takes the funnies style and really deepens it takeing it into the realm of mild psycadelia. Topsy Turvy is a really bizarre childrens story and I thought Vacation Cowgirl and Joe Dokes were genuinly funny pieces. Then there is Black and Tan,it seems they had alot of difficulty drawing African Americans in those days as they are always done very cartoonishly. This one is kind of an Amos and Andy type of thing that was so inane and stupid that I found myself chuckling at the sheer inanity of it, the dialoge did make me laugh and I suppose that was why Amos and Andy were so popular
