The opening page here (Stagecoach coming around a corner on a narrow cliff ledge) seems to have been something of a cliche in Western comics. I'm sure I've seen it on CB+ at least 3 times. Wonder why?

It might be a cliche of comic and movie westerns, but as a rockhound I've gone on some trips where the roads were thinner than what we see in this splash page, so it wouldn't surprise me that there really were equally bad roads back then.
